- New VM discovered → CI created; VM removed → CI lifecycle update; vMotion → CI relationship update
- ESXi host alert → incident
- 15-minute default poll cadence
- The outbound egress guard requires an https vCenter URL — an http URL is rejected at test time, not silently allowed
- Credential presence is checked at health-probe time so the integration never reports healthy without stored vCenter credentials
- Read-only in v1: no destructive actions (VM revert, snapshot management) are declared for this adapter
Data residency
vSphere is on-prem / customer-controlled; no data leaves the customer's infrastructure boundary.

What you configure
- vCenter URL (must be https)
- vCenter credentials configured (flag — value is a secret)
